MATT CORDS      

President of Team Services

  • Matt has built a strong career in business development with over 20 years experience in Team and League ticket sales, revenue generation, sales strategy, business development and client retention.  In addition, Matt has worked closely in the areas of business intelligence and AI to help generate revenue.

    Matt began his sports career as a ticketing account executive for the Minnesota during their inaugural 1999-2000 season.  Later, Matt oversaw the ticketing area during multiple sell-out seasons and helped launch the Wild’s inside sales program.

    Following his time with the Wild, Matt joined Van Wagner Sports & Entertainment as one of the Directors of the Stadium Builders License project.  Over the course of three years, Matt and the Team generated over $120M in seat license sales as part of the funding for U.S. Bank Stadium.

    Most recently, Matt was Senior Director, Ticket Sales at the UFL, where he had oversight of all eight UFL Ticket Sales Teams at the league level.  Matt was responsible for collaborating with senior management on ticket sales goals, pricing, and league strategy.  In addition, Matt worked closely with the sales teams on the ground in each market to ensure staff received proper training, set up KPI metrics, and implemented the local ticket sales plans that aligned with the league’s goals and objectives.
