RBC Wealth Management | The Joe Mauer Story
Sharing ‘The Right Think To Do’ with Employees.
RBC hosted an employee appreciation event, where they partnered with non-profit Thumbs Up to bring awareness to anti-bullying and children’s mental health. RBC enlisted OWNER to create a video to display the important message of a children’s book to employees and their families at a client event. The goal was to create a virtual book reading of The Right Thing To Do with Joe Schmit and Katie Shatusky on the jumbotron at Huntington Bank Stadium.
Joe Mauer is a Minnesota sports icon and Twins Hall of Famer. But long before he became a Major League Baseball star, he was making an impact with kindness and compassion.
Based on true stories, The Right Thing to Do follows Joe Mauer as he grows from a child athlete to a baseball superstar—and learns to be a good friend along the way. The book shares Joe Mauer’s vital message of kindness to his friend and classmate, Mike Hally.
Featured in the book reading is local sports broadcaster, Joe Schmit, and the founder of Thumbs Up, Katie Shatusky. 100% of all book proceeds are donated to two local charities: Thumbs Up and The Highland Friendship Club.
